Terminator Salvation, developed by GRIN and published by Equity Games is a third person shoot out action game that was released on May 2009 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows and iPhone OS platforms. The release of this game was timed in such a way that it matched the release date of the official movie bearing the same name. The game allows the player to change the difficulty levels and also features some eye catching cut scenes.
The game is a quick moving one and the player needs to be continuously on the move in order to attack, defend themselves and to make sure their squad progresses. The player not only has to battle Skynet enemies but also battle specially designed enemies for this game. With diverse and changing environments, Terminator Salvation allows the player to fight the same 3 enemies over and over again. This is a bit boring and the developers should have dome something specially when a blockbuster of a movie was to follow. However, this doesn’t rob away the joy from the game and making your way through the various conflict - ravaged locations, and most of the journey is covered on foot. However, while doing this the players progress is interrupted at regular intervals because of those long loading scenes. To conclude with, Terminator Salvation with its movie type of appearance and feeling certainly gives the player the thrill of actually being a Terminator himself. This game is worth every penny.
